Released in 2025, “Krone der Schöpfung” (“Crown of Creation“) marks the debut album of Mehrwertsteuer, painting a bleak and satirical portrait of today’s financial and economic systems.

Across nine tracks, the album tackles topics such as taxation, inflation, stock market crashes, bureaucracy, and social inequality—blending biting sarcasm with despair and sharp social critique.

The lyrics explore the collapse of financial markets (“Börsensturz”), the power of the European Central Bank (“EZB”, “Leidzins”), and the burden and purpose of taxation (“19 Prozent”, “Steuerlast”, “Der Fiskus”), while also addressing the struggles of the working class (“Arbeitsmarktkampf”). Central themes include warnings against greed, egotism, and the erosion of social solidarity (“Verlust der Vernunft”), while “Mittelstandsangst” captures the fears of a once-prosperous middle class facing economic decline.

The album fuses economic satire with an apocalyptic metal sound, forming a truly unique concept work.
